The sultry vocal stylings of La Tanya Hall will kick off both Friday, February 14th and Saturday, February 15th with sets at 7:30PM & 9PM. With a career spanning decades, La Tanya Hall has performed alongside some of the biggest names in music, including legends like Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, and Bobby McFerrin. Her talent is not confined to a single style; she effortlessly moves between jazz, R&B, classical, and even pop, making her one of the most adaptable and sought-after vocalists in the industry.
Hall’s journey in music began at a young age, influenced by the rich musical environment of her upbringing. She honed her skills through formal training and live performances, gradually building a reputation as a dynamic and expressive singer. Her voice is often described as rich and velvety, with an emotional depth that captivates audiences, whether she’s interpreting a classic jazz standard or bringing new life to contemporary songs.
One of the highlights of Hall’s career is her work with Steely Dan, where she served as a background vocalist during their tours. Her contributions to the band’s live performances were nothing short of electrifying, adding layers of harmony and soul that elevated the overall sound. Beyond touring, Hall has also appeared on television and in Broadway productions, showcasing her broad artistic range.
