Born and raised in Singapore, saxophonist and composer Sean Hong Wei has worked alongside luminaries like Benny Golson, Randy Brecker, Antonio Hart, Tony Lakatos, Louis Nash, Carmen Bradford, and many others. His upcoming debut album with pianist Jeremy Monteiro features Jay Anderson, Evan Sherman, Alex Sipiagin and Houston Person. Hong Wei's playing encapsulates the tradition of the great tenor saxophonists of the 1950s and 60s.
