Pianist and composer Ittetsu Nasuda was born in Tokyo, Japan. By the age of 19, he had developed a deep interest in improvisational jazz. He refined his skills by performing alongside accomplished musicians in Tokyo before moving to Boston in 2011, where he pursued formal music education at Berklee College of Music. In 2015, he relocated to New York City and firmly established himself within the vibrant Latin music and jazz scene. He has performed with Jimmy Bosch, Jose “Pepito” Gomez, John Benitez, Gerardo Contino, and Fleur Seule. Ittetsu regularly performs at renowned live venues across the city, captivating audiences with his distinctive style and dynamic improvisations.

Nasuda’s new album “Tailwind” is a musical exploration of the hybrid of Afro-Cuban, contemporary jazz, and traditional Japanese music.
